Applicants who have been through exceptional circumstances

Students born between September 1, 2005 and August 31, 2006 will be considered if they have been through exceptional circumstances (displacement, disruptions in their schooling, etc.) as a result of the ongoing war in Syria. Most schools have strict age criteria and do not accept students younger than 16 and older than 18 by September 2024. For the few schools that have exceptions, the UWC Syrian National Committee has to make a strong case for students who do not meet the age criterion.

Please note that we no longer accept students who are younger than 16 by September 1, 2023.
